This notice covers CLAQ iOS and support communications. CLAQ is an independent app. Camera, lighting and other product names identify compatibility and do not imply an official affiliation.
Your production data
Productions, scenes, ratings, notes, references, settings and recordings are stored on your device or in locations you choose. CLAQ has no backend that automatically receives your production material, advertising tools or cross-app tracking. No CLAQ account is required.
Depending on your settings, app data may be included in backups managed by your operating system or services you use. Using CLAQ does not give the developer access to those backups.
Permissions and connected equipment
Camera and microphone access enable image and audio capture with your iPhone. External camera access uses the permissions required by iOS. Bluetooth discovers and controls compatible lights. Local network access connects cameras, amaran Desktop and Direction or Script devices.
Photo and file access support the actions you choose. External folders use the access you grant through the system picker. You can change permissions in iOS Settings; features that depend on a permission may become unavailable when you revoke it.
Direction, Script and exports
When you enable Direction or Script, CLAQ shares the image or production information needed for that function with linked devices, including scenes, takes, thumbnails, ratings and notes. Use trusted equipment and networks and end the connection when it is no longer needed.
When you export or share a recording, report or diagnostic, you choose the app or recipient. CLAQ does not automatically send those files to the developer. Copies delivered to other people or services are subject to their control and privacy practices.
Subscriptions and the free trial
Apple processes CLAQ Pro purchases. The app uses purchase verification and validity on your device to enable the corresponding features. It does not receive your payment card details. Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple account.
The 14-day free trial keeps a protected local record of its start and expiry. Starting it does not initiate a purchase or an automatic charge. This record may remain in the device keychain after uninstalling the app; reinstalling does not start another trial.
Information you send to support
If you email claq.app@gmail.com, your email address, the name you use, message and attachments will be processed to handle your request. Diagnostics may include the app version, equipment characteristics, peripheral identifiers, error messages and production data you choose to include.
This information is used to respond, investigate problems, handle privacy requests and meet legal obligations. It is not sold or used for advertising or tracking. Sensitive information is not requested; avoid sending identity documents or confidential footage unless necessary.
Email is provided through Gmail. Hosting and email providers process the information necessary to deliver the website and communications under their terms. Access to correspondence is limited to people who need it to handle the request. Information may also be disclosed when a legal obligation requires it.
Retention and deletion
Productions and files remain while you keep them in the app or selected locations. Ending the Pro trial does not delete saved reports. From build 223 onward, videos and review copies are stored outside the cache and do not expire. You can delete them from Playback after confirmation; the prompt identifies whether deletion includes the local iPhone original. Production notes are retained. Earlier versions may expire review copies after three hours.
Deleting CLAQ data does not delete originals on an external camera or copies you exported. Uninstalling does not cancel an Apple subscription or guarantee removal of keychain records.
Support messages and attachments are retained while necessary to handle requests, resolve claims or meet legal obligations. When no longer needed, they are deleted or anonymized. Data that exists only on your device is managed there; the developer cannot access or remotely delete it.
Your rights and choices
You may request access, correction, cancellation or objection regarding personal data received by the responsible person. You may also request limits on its use or withdraw consent where applicable. Email claq.app@gmail.com with your name, a reply method and your request. Only information necessary to verify your identity and locate the data may be requested.
Requests are handled under applicable law. For ARCO rights under Mexican law, the determination will be communicated within the legal 20-day period and, where applicable, implemented within the following 15 days, subject to permitted extensions and exceptions. Revoking an iOS permission or choosing not to send support information does not prevent use of unrelated CLAQ features.
Changes to this notice
Updates will be published on this page with an effective date. If CLAQ introduces its own accounts, cloud storage or other data uses, this notice will be updated and any required consent obtained before those changes apply.
